Comedy’s favourite diminutive charmer invites you to attend her
Love-in.
Fresh from yet another sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run, Lucy Porter
will be examining every aspect of that crazy little thing called love.
Is romantic love more important than familial, platonic or religious
love? The ancient Greeks had many words for love in all its forms. But
then, the ancient Greeks also invented anal sex, the hula hoop and
central heating, so they obviously had a lot of time on their hands.
Lucy’s unique brand of twisted sweetness combines a
butter-wouldn’t-melt exterior with a mouth that would make a builder
blush. Away from her solo shows Lucy has written for everybody from
Adam and Joe to Jimmy Tarbuck, interviewed porn stars, hosted
The Guardian’s new comedy podcast Many Questions and
flexed her acting mettle in London’s West End alongside Christian
Slater in the acclaimed stage adaptation of One Flew Over The
Cuckoo’s Nest.
The ribald humour nestling in her chirpy delivery makes her a dream
TV and radio guest and Lucy has notched up numerous appearances on BBC’s
Have I Got News For You and Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive
and BBC Radio 4’s The New Armando Iannucci Show.
Don’t miss the self-confessed love addict as she goes cold turkey to
try and wrest control of her life from misty-eyed impulses- if only to
watch her fall off the wagon spectacularly.
