The biggest face in comedy- quite literally, it’s massive- returns to
the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival to play one of his
favourite gigs of the year.
Each time Jimmy Carr has appeared at the festival, he’s been
better, funnier and deeply wrong-er than before. In 2008, he’ll be
playing a two packed out nights at the Clyde Auditorium, breaking down
more taste barriers and eliciting as many gasps as laughs.
Fresh from another year of global ubiquity, including
presenting the 5th series of Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats
and hosting their New Year’s institution The Big Fat Quiz Of The
Year, co-writing his first bestseller The Naked Jape and
recording his third live DVD, Jimmy is back on the road doing what his
legions of fans know he does best.
Jimmy’s omnipresence never dampens his appeal, dilutes his lethal wit
or softens subject matter. A stand-up with a fearsome arsenal of deadly
one-liners, decimating his targets with such polished precision he never
breaks a sweat.
Simply one of Britain’s most prolific performers and quickest wits
(as anyone foolish enough to heckle the man will tell you), Jimmy never
rests on his laurels and his all-new yearly shows are hotly anticipated
events, showcasing a man with a fearsome turnover of witheringly deadpan
quips.
Please note, Jimmy Carr- Repeat Offender is not suitable for
the easily offended. In fact not even a show for people who are quite
difficult to offend. Essentially this is a show for people without a
moral compass.
Book early to avoid disappointment (or alternatively lower your
expectations).
